How to fix Steam Cloud sync issues

To start syncing between your PC and the Deck, please switch to Proton usage on your Deck. To do that, open the game page and select Settings (the gear sign). Then go to Properties > Compatibility > "Force the use...tool". From the list, choose either Proton Experimental or the latest stable version. Then wait until the game downloads the necessary files and syncs with the Cloud. Your saves should remain in sync from now on.

Before you do that, we strongly suggest you create a backup of your oldest saved files to avoid data loss. The files can be found here:

  • Windows: %USERPROFILE%\AppData\LocalLow\Lazy Bear Games\Graveyard Keeper
  • macOS (OS X): $HOME/Library/Application Support/unity.Lazy Bear Games.Graveyard Keeper
  • Linux (Steam Deck): $HOME/.config/unity3d/Lazy Bear Games/Graveyard Keeper

MacOS

This is an issue we are aware of and looking into addressing.

As a temporary workaround, you can move your files from ~/Library/Application Support/unity.Lazy Bear Games.Graveyard Keeper to ~/Library/Application Support/Lazy Bear Games/Graveyard Keeper.
