My save game file disappeared!

The game never erases save files from your hard drive. Even if you erase it in-game, the file is only flagged as being erased but remains on the drive.

If you are on Windows, you can go to the following directory: C:\Users\ [username] \AppData\LocalLow\Cradle Games\Hellpoint

Replace "[username]" with your Windows account name.

Save files are .hp files. They are readable text files and can be opened with Notepad - or any other text editor.

There are 2 reasons why your save might not show up in-game;

You accidentally erased the save while in-game.:

• Open it and search for "erased", it will show up as "erased":true;
• Change it to "erased":false;
• Save the file and restart the game.

Steam or Epic launcher became desynced. If you create a new save in-game and open it, you will see "user":"offline".

• Restart Steam or Epic. Sometimes, it may require a system restart;
• If it's your first save, create a new one and open it. "user" will show a long value, like 7750570570570;
• Copy and paste that value in the save that is no longer showing up, so it reads "user":"7750570570570";
• Save the file and restart the game.
