Does your game have wipes? If yes, how often will they happen?

  • Your progress will be wiped occasionally. The first wipe occurred on September 19th. Wipes affect your stash, trader reputation, character level, and regular cosmetic items. Unique cosmetic items (e.g., maximum trader REP rewards and Open Beta rewards) are unaffected. If you own the Supporter Pack, you receive the items included once per wipe.If you purchase the Elite Task Force Outfit Pack on Steam, the Reaper outfit, which is compatible with unique wipe skins, will be available to you by default at the start of each wipe. This means you won’t need to reach the maximum Reputation level with the traders to unlock Reaper and apply a unique wipe skin to him.

Will you gain XP while playing as a merc and alien creature?

  • Yes. Playing as a merc or alien creature will grant you experience.

Will the game's horror element be more focused on tension or jump scares?

  • We want Level Zero: Extraction's horror to be defined by the feelings of claustrophobia, isolation, and being constantly hunted. Darkness will play a significant role in the game, as the main mechanics are built around using light to fight off alien creatures. Playings as the creatures, your goal will be to kill sources of light to render the humans vulnerable.

Is a single-player PvE mode planned?

  • Level Zero: Extraction is a multiplayer experience, and we do not plan to add any story campaigns.
