General troubleshooting
As a first step, please follow all the instructions below. These cover the most common causes of crashes and performance issues, and in many cases will resolve the problem:
- Update your Windows and GPU drivers
- Verify the integrity of the game files or reinstall the game
- Temporarily deactivate DLSS/FSR and see if that helps
- Increase your Windows Page File
- Try running the game using DirectX11 instead of 12
- Temporarily disable overlays such as Nvidia App, Discord, etc.
- If you’re overclocking, keep in mind this can cause instability and overheating. Revert to standard clock speeds if issues occur.
- Confirm your PC meets the minimum hardware requirements:
- OS: Windows 10/11 (64-bit)
- Processor: Intel Core i5 10600 / AMD Ryzen 5 3600
- Memory: 16 GB RAM
- Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070 / AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT
- Storage: 45 GB available space
- Additional Notes: SSD required

We're currently aware of an issue where the game crashes when loading a save, which relates to possible memory leak - please increase your Windows Page File to 16GB or higher as a temporary solution
