List of Known Issues
Stability & Performance
- Memory leaks and related crashes (e.g. “Out of video memory,” “LowLevelFatalError”), including crashes when loading saves, entering city areas, or saving repeatedly, have been partially improved in 1.06 through memory optimizations, and we’re continuing to work on further stability.
- NPCs at medium to long distances may animate at very low frame rates, with noticeable FPS drops in city areas.
- Lighting can appear severely overbright (fires, lamps, fog), causing excessive bloom and visibility issues.
➡️ If you’re experiencing performance or stability issues, please refer to our General Troubleshooting article for known workarounds and recommended settings.
Quests & Progression
- Steam Cloud saves may sync to the wrong directory (playtest folder instead of release), preventing new saves from uploading.
- Wheels may not appear during Bad Neighborhood, blocking progression.
- Repeating certain dialogue options (e.g. selling valuables to Mix) can softlock conversations.
- Several quests may fail to advance or softlock, including:
- “For the Free Folk!” achievement may not unlock.
- “Where’s Fox?” may teleport the player underground.
- Entry into the Order (Dalar) may not complete correctly.
➡️ For quest or item-related issues, see our Debug Console article for console commands and steps to get unstuck.
Gameplay, Systems & UI
- Bleeding can behave incorrectly, rapidly reducing HP or causing sudden death, and may not be curable with bandages.
- Disease and injury visual effects (blur, animations) can persist or re-trigger after being cured.
- Skill potions may stop working entirely and cannot be consumed or equipped.
- Selling items may freeze the game if a merchant’s buy slots are full.
- Some smelting recipes may not detect all valid items correctly in edge cases.
- Fullscreen mode at ultrawide or 4K resolutions can lock the cursor to the wrong aspect ratio, preventing access to UI buttons. Temporary workaround: press Alt + Enter.
- NPC navigation issues may occur.
- NPCs using crossbows can miss distant targets.
- Multiple environment collision issues are reported across different locations (climbing, object interaction, item access).
- [RU] Lyra/Marta may use an incorrect (male) voice after the Lunatics quest.
- House bookshelf and stored books may disappear in some cases.
