How to Report a Bug or Issue?

As a first step, please go through our guides below:

Videos Not Working

  • Install Codecs: Try installing the K Lite Codec Pack.

  • Alternate Video Branch
    You can also try a version of the game where the videos are saved in a different format. This can help when videos are not playing or freezing on your system.

    • Right-click on Not For Broadcast in your Steam library and click 'Properties'

    • Select the 'Betas' tab

    • Under the drop-down menu, select alternatevideo

    • Once the game is updated, it will be ready to launch!

  • Download and Install Windows Media Feature Pack Here. Some Windows installations don't include the Media Feature pack, which includes the codecs you'll need to see the videos properly. So make sure you have that installed too.

How to Fix "d3d11 Access Violation" and Some Crashes

  1. Press Windows key + R

  2. Type in "sysdm.cpl" - a window with the name of your PC should then pop up

  3. Go to the "Advanced" tab

  4. Look for "Performance" and click on “Settings”

  5. Go to the "Advanced" tab

  6. Look for "Virtual memory" and click “Change”

  7. Untick “Automatically manage paging file size for all drives” and increase the amount of virtual memory (to at least 7000MB or more), depending on which drive you installed Steam or Not for broadcast.

Crashes - NVIDIA Users

  • Open NVIDIA Control Panel

  • Go to "Manage 3D Settings"

  • Switch "Vertical sync" under Global Settings from "Fast" to "Use the 3D application setting."

Potential Fix for Black/White Screens

A particularly pesky bug has remained steadfast for a selection of players: Seeing no video and getting only black/white screens. We now have a first step towards solving this issue that should allow players to play through the full game! If you are experiencing this, please opt-in to the "alternatevideo" beta branch. To do this:

  • Go to your Steam Library;

  • Right-click "Not For Broadcast";

  • Click "Properties";

  • Select the "Betas" tab;

  • From the drop-down menu, select "alternatevideo";

  • Hit close.

Your game should then update, and in the library, it should read as "Not For Broadcast [alternatevideo]".
